The Friday Surahs compilation is a selection of surahs recited on Friday prayers, including Jumuah prayers, recited by Shaykh Mishary Rashed Al-Afasy. These surahs are mentioned in many places in the hadith literature.
In the Sahih Al-Bukhari it is narrated by Ibn Abbas (RA) that the messenger of Allah (SWS) used to recite on Friday Fajr prayers Surat As-Sajdah and Surat Al-Insan and on Friday prayers Surat Al-Jumuah and Surat Al-Munafiqun.
In the hadith of An-Nasa’i and Al-Hakim it is narrated by Abu Said Al-Khudri (RA) that the messenger of Allah (SWS) said: “Whoever recites Surat Al-Kahf on Friday will have a light illuminated for him between the two Fridays.”
In the hadith of Ibn Majah and Abu Dawud it is narrated by An-Numan Ibn Bashir (RA) that the messenger of Allah (SWS) used to recite on Eid and Friday prayers Surat Al-Ala and Surat Al-Ghashiyah.
