Supporting Young Children

Supporting young children through distressing times is a unique book that examines traumatic experiences faced by children across the globe. These experiences arise from a range of situations which include war, domestic violence, divorce and bullying.

The book addresses the signs of trauma. It further assesses the numerous ways in which children respond to stressful situations and it offers a variety of coping strategies for both adults and children. It also seeks to examine the importance of personal, social and emotional development in children and in supporting their learning.
