Laki Isra worked as a Mental Health Professional for many years prior to becoming an author. The interest to want to write for women and children, and to produce books that were diverse and multicultural have always been at the forefront. The inspiration behind her books are in fact her children – the goal, to create a library of important muslim stories where heritage and culture are at the centre – and told in a way that is positive and up-lifting!
